Marketing in Premier League

S-a vorbit si s-a scris mult despre modelul de business al echipelor englezesti si ma refer aici la partea de marketing a acestui business. Este bine stiut faptul ca EPL (English Premier League)  nu este cel mai puternic campionat din lume vorbind strict din punct de vedere al fotbalului (statistici de joc, valoare jucatori, etc), dar este cel mai puternic din lume cand vine vorba de acoperirea media pe care o are si de imaginea/renumele de care se bucura (totodata valoarea cu care se vand drepturile TV). Si asta se datoreaza in primul rand celor care detin drepturile de imagine ale Barclays Premier League dar si celor 18 echipe care an de an se agreneaza in acest dans. Bineinteles, dintre cele 18 ies in evidenta cateva, cele mai cunoscute cluburi de fotbal din Anglia, cu cei mai multi suporteri, cu cele mai multe trofee sau cu cel mai mare renume, cum vreti sa o spuneti. Aici as include Man City, Arsenal sau Chelsea dar si cei 2 colosi cand vine vorba de numarul de trofee castigate, Man United si Liverpool. Toate aceste echipe nu mai au nevoie de nicio prezentare, fiind bine cunoscuta expresia Big Four (United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea). Manchester City este echipa care bate la usa acestui grup restrans, multi specialisti vorbind deja de Big Five.

Ca sa revenim la Marketing, astazi avem parte de inca o demonstratie a nivelului la care s-a ajuns in EPL, a modelului de Marketing adoptat in Anglia si a importantei care se ofera acestui departament intr-un club de fotbal. Daca in Romania lui 2011, cel mai mare club din Romania, Steaua Bucuresti nu are un departament de Markenting, fiind aproape imposibil sa cumperi un tricou original al jucatorului favorit (replica-kit se gaseste in magazinele Nike), Liverpool FC posteaza pe pagina oficiala de facebook, azi, pe 1 decembrie, cu ocazia zilei nationale a Romaniei, un mesaj pentru suporterii romani ai cormoranilor. Needless to say more!!!
